THE HORSES VOICE is YOUR HORSE’S CHOICE in saddles.
If you haven’t already heard BALANCE saddles will now be named THV saddles (The Horse’s Voice saddles.)
Many horse owners have heard of BALANCE Saddles and the BALANCE Saddling System, because they have been helping to improve the way saddles are designed and fitted for over 30 years!
The BALANCE Organisation was originally created in 1993, to share ‘new’ information and knowledge about what horses need from their saddles. It was founded by 3 people who had a deep respect for horses and could see that saddles and saddle fitting methods at that time, were causing a lot of damage, discomfort, and dis-ability in horses.
They had started their research into this important topic in 1990 and expected the saddle industry to keep up with their findings and want to improve their methods and products. They did not!
In order to move things forward, BALANCE were forced to get involved directly with designing and supplying better saddles, and to educate horse owners about what to look for and how to use saddles to protect their horses. BALANCE Saddles & Saddle Pads have been available ever since.
As demand grew, more people were needed to help more horses and so BALANCE trained a group of specially selected people to learn the methods and help people and horses to discover better saddling.
Now, after 30 years, the director and co-founder of BALANCE, Lesley Taylor-Brett, feels it is time to step back and pass some of this important work to someone younger, but equally passionate about it. Fortunately, Keren Morris (who is also a BALANCE trained Saddling consultant) and her husband, are going to take over the sales side of BALANCE under their own company name and branding, THV Saddling Ltd. (The Horse’s Voice). This means that I and the other BALANCE Saddling consultants will still have access to wonderful products to help more horses around the world.
My work as a Saddling consultant will not change, the ethics are the same, the method is the same, the saddles and the pads are the same, it is only the logo that will change.
I will continue to be a trained and registered BALANCE Saddling consultant but will become a registered THV Saddling consultant as well.
The BALANCE website will continue to be a resource for information about Functional Saddling and the BALANCE methods and Lesley will continue to offer support to the BALANCE TEAM, THV Saddling and horse owners via the website and social media.
